Playing for Change: Peace Through Music

Playing for Change is a multimedia movement created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. Playing For Change also created a separate Non-Profit Organization called the Playing For Change Foundation who builds music schools for children around the world.

The project started in 2004. The creators travelled around the world to places such as Russia, South Africa, Spain, India, Israel, and Tibet, using a mobile recording studio. They had local musicians perform the same song, interpreted into their own local style. These seperate recordings were then later added together to produce the complete songs.

Watch the above two singles from the project..."Stand by Me" and "One Love". Remember that these artists never saw or knew each other during the recording of these songs. This project is truly amazing and inspirational in a world that currently suffers from a lack of cultural consideration and the shameful non-involvement of the privileged.
